MLB news 4/26/18

1. After a unanimous vote, Boston's Yawkey Way will be renamed to Jersey Street, it's original street name. The change comes after concerns of racism tied to former Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey, who the street is named after.
2. Tommy Pham was removed from the game after the St. Louis Cardinals found a big welt on his head. The Cardinals now say that the injury happened while Pham was in the batting cage, when he allegedly cut his head open after hitting himself.
3. More Tommy Pham news, Pham has revealed that he was stabbed by his stepfather 5 years ago during a fight the two were having. Pham says that he was stabbed just below the rib cage. This was revealed when Pham was asked about the freak injury on his head.
4. The Mets are noncommittal about another starter. The latest recipient is Steven Matz. Matz allowed 7 runs over 3 1/3 innings pitched in his last start against the Cardinals.
5. After fouling a ball off his foot during a rehab game, Twins OF Byron Buxton had a hole drilled directly into his left big toe because of swelling. The return date for Buxton still remains unclear.
6. Trade watch: Cubs could be a potential destination for Manny Machado either at the Deadline of during free agency. The Yankees may have eyes on D-Backs ace Patrick Corbin at the deadline. Cardinals, Phillies, Braves lead Jon Heyman's predictions for 3B Josh Donaldson's services.
