Pennant race 2018!

Woah, a post? Been a long time since I've done this. Anyway, the playoffs are in progress, and it's been quite exciting so far. We are in the middle of the LCS for both leagues, so here's a quick breakdown of what has happened so far.
Wild Card games: AL(Yankees def Athletics) NL(Rockies defeat Cubs)
Divisional series: AL(Red Sox def Yankees, 3-1) (Astros def Indians, 3-0)
NL(Brewers def Rockies, 3-0) (Dodgers def Braves, 3-1)
LCS: AL(Red Sox vs Astros, Red Sox lead series 2-1)  NL(Dodgers vs Brewers, Brewers lead series 2-1)
How I think the LCS will end: AL: Red Sox defeat Astros in 6 games. NL: Dodgers defeat Brewers in 7 games
World Series picks: Red Sox defeat Dodgers in 7 games.

What eliminated teams need to do to further their chances next year:
AL: Oakland: Get some more depth pieces around the diamond and outfield, more pitching depth, everything else should fall into place as everyone will be a year older with more experience. Khris Davis falling off a cliff at the end of the year didn't help much either.
New York: Make better decisions in the clutch, make sure Giancarlo gets acclimated to AL pitching with another year, keep your stars healthy.
Cleveland: It's simple, stop imploding in October. You have all the talent you need, just can't step up in the clutch. The AL central was a cake walk for them, and it continues to show that they haven't been tested with failure in October year after year.
NL: Chicago: Yu Darvish blew up in your face. Get rid of him. Add some more sensible pitching depth and keep your youngsters sustainable all year to produce in the postseason. I expect you to win at least 1 more world series with this talent and power, don't disappoint me.
Colorado: They played so hard to get into the playoffs at the end of the year, I think they kind of wore themselves out. Playing the Brewers and their hot bats and dominant bullpen didn't help either. Get some more depth pieces and a deeper October run awaits.
Braves: You definitely turned heads this season. I sure wasn't expecting you guys to make it this far. You need some more bullpen arms and another year of experience for your youngsters to stay in the hunt for a long time. Be proud of yourselves, considering you made it this far under the radar.

What's to come on the blog: When the LCS ends, I'll write about that. Expect some world series stuff and offseason news as it occurs. I will now let you get back to watching postseason baseball.
