Well, some interesting things have happened these last few days, and I'm going to break it down for you guys.
1. Red Sox DH JD Martinez has won not one, but 2 silver slugger awards? Martinez hit so well for the Sox this year, he won a silver slugger for DH and OF.
2.Minnesota Twins great Joe Mauer has announced his retirement from baseball after 15 seasons. Mauer started as a catcher but these last few years has primarily played first base due to bad legs. Mauer was beloved to all, not just Minnesota, and will be missed.
3. Yankees lefty CC Sabathia has announced that he will retire following the 2019 season.
4. The Seattle Mariners have traded C Mike Zunino, OF Guillermo Heredia, and P Michael Plassmeyer to the Tampa Bay Rays for OF's Mallex Smith and Jake Fraley
