Britton back to the big apple

The New York Yankees and LHP Zach Britton have agreed to a 3 year, $39 million extension after David Robertson signed with the Phillies a couple days ago. The Yankees were trying to re-sign Robertson, but once he left, Britton became the primary focus for them. There is a team option for a 4th year, which the Yankees can choose to exercise after the second season.
Britton was generally solid last year, but didn't step up in the ALDS against the Red Sox when they needed him to. He posted a 2.88 ERA after being acquired by the Yankees last summer. Britton solidifies an already scary good bullpen, and the Yankees are still reportedly pursuing top reliever Adam Ottavino.
