The Washington Nationals have signed 2B Brian Dozier to a 1 year, $9 million deal. Dozier split 2018 playing for the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers, the only 2 teams he has ever played for. Dozier joins a Washington team reeling off a incredibly underachieving 2018 season where they missed the playoffs entirely. Dozier hit .215 with 21 homers last year, which is a down year for him. The Nationals lost Daniel Murphy to Colorado and needed a second baseman, and Dozier is a nice piece to add.
