Rangers sign Kelley


The Texas Rangers have signed RHP Shawn Kelley to a 1 year, $2.75 million deal, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, there is a team option for 2020 that would pay Kelley $2.5 million. Last season, Kelley was designated for assignment by the Washington Nationals after throwing a tantrum on the pitching mound, and was signed by the Oakland Athletics. He posted a combined 2.94 ERA with 50 K's and 11 walks over 49 innings pitched. He has a 3.67 ERA over 10 seasons, with 478 K's and 15 saves
