Robertson goes to Phils

The Philadelphia Philles have signed reliever David Robertson on a 2 year deal with a team option for 2021. Robertson previously pitched for the Yankees and White Sox. Robertson will earn $10 million this coming season, $11 million the next, and if he plays for Philly in 2021, $12 million with a $2 million buyout. Robertson had a 3.23 ERA and 2.97 FIP over 69 2/3 innings pitched for the pinstripes last year. He had 19 saves over the last 2 seasons, and over his 9 year career, averaged a 2.72 ERA and 2.75 FIP with 136 saves. Last year, with the Yankees' elite reliever corps, he was mainly used as a setup man. He joins the Phillies bullpen, which now has Seranthony Dominguez, a 2018 breakout reliever, Pat Neshek, and Tommy Hunter.
