Tulo signs with Bronx Bombers

Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has signed with the New York Yankees to be their starting shortstop while Didi Gregorius recovers from surgery. This does not reportedly take them out of the Manny Machado hunt. The Yankees will pay Tulowitzki the leagues minimum $555,000, while the Blue Jays pay Tulo the $20 million he is owed this year. Gregorius is entering the final year of his contract, so maybe the Yankees keep Tulo past this season, as Gregorius will be in high demand next off-season due to his power surge with the club. Machado is expected to choose teams sometime before spring training.
