Yanks sign Ottavino

Boy, oh boy. As a Red Sox fan, this stings. A big name free agent has been signed, and no, it's not Bryce Harper or Manny Machado. Right handed pitcher Adam Ottavino has signed with Boston's arch nemesis in the New York Yankees on a 3 year, $27 million deal, further solidifying the Yankees alreasy solidified bullpen. That's like taking a heavily fortified base and adding a mega cannon. You know, I've always been impartial with my blog posts, but it's kinda hard to be impartial about this one. The Yankees, already with enough bullpen arms to scare teams, myself included, have just added another cannon to their bullpen. At least this officially takes the Yankees out of the Manny Machado sweepstakes. Now Yankee starters can get away with pitching only 5 innings a game and still get a win, which will be crucial come playoff time. The Yankees now have Ottavino, the newly re signed LHP Zach Britton, Dellin Betances, and flamer Aroldis Chapman, along with Chad Green, Jonathan Holder, and Tommy Kahnle. Ottavino is well known to NL hitters for his elite slider, and he boasted that he would "strike out Babe Ruth every time." Now that is an ego perfectly suited for the Bronx.
