Gonzalez agrees to 2 year deal with Twins

Utility man Marwin Gonzalez has signed with the Minnesota Twins on a 2 year, $21 million deal, according to Jon Heyman and Jeff Passan. The Twins have had a busy winter, adding sluggers CJ Cron, Nelson Cruz, and Jonathan Schoop to assist their young corps of Miguel Sano, Byron Buxton, and Eddie Rosario. After reaching the wild card game in 2017, the Twins had a disappointing 2018, finishing 78-84, missing the playoffs. The Twins revamped lineup can now challenge the Cleveland Indians for the AL Central crown, considering Cleveland has lost some key contributors this winter, most notably Edwin Encarnacion, Josh Donaldson, and Michael Brantley. In 145 games last season, Gonzalez hit .247 with 16 Home Runs.
