The Oakland Athletics have signed OF Robbie Grossman to a 1 year, $2 million deal, according to Susan Slusser. Last season, Grossman spent time at DH and both corner outfield spots for the Minnesota Twins. He is a switch-hitter, which can help Oakland's lineup. He hit .273 with 5 home runs and 48 RBI. He had an OBP of .367, which led Twins hitters. He will compete for outfield playing time with Stephen Piscotty and Nick Martini. He owns a career .256 batting average over 6 big league seasons with the Twins and Houston Astros.
