As of 30 minutes ago, Machado signed with the San Diego Padres on a 10 year contract worth $300 million, according to Mark Feinsand. Machado's contract is the largest free agent contract in American sports history, that is, until Bryce Harper signs. Machado hit .297 with 37 Home Runs and 107 RBI for the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers last season. This ends nearly 3 months of speculation about where Machado would land, and teams included were the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees.
