This will make Trout's contract the highest in professional sports and will keep him in LA for his entire career. Trout, who has won 2 AL MVP awards, will receive around $36 million per year. This deal is 30% larger than Bryce Harper's megadeal with Philly. Trout was set to be a free agent after 2020.
