Frazier hits IL as Yanks nightmare grows

The good news for Yankees fans is that Gary Sanchez has been activated from the injured list(IL). The bad news, they just lost another player to it. After last night's 6-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels, manager Aaron Boone announced that Clint Frazier would land on the IL after finding out he had a partial tear in his left ankle. Boone said that "They feel like it's a 10-14 day thing, maybe a little less, but we don't feel like it's a long thing." Regardless, Frazier will miss at least 10 days due to the injury.

Frazier injured himself on Monday's game during a pickoff attempt at second base. He was out of the lineup on Tuesday and sent back to New York for an MRI. These Yankees have definitely dealt with a lot of injuries this season. Frazier becomes the 15th Yankee to hit the IL this year and 13th currently on the 10 or 60 day IL. Frazier has played in the absence of Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton in the outfield, and has certainly taken advantage of the time. He is hitting .324 with 6 home runs and 17 RBI in 18 games.
