Judge heads to IL as Yanks injuries pile up

The New York Yankees have announced that RF Aaron Judge has been placed on the 10 day injured list(IL) with a left oblique strain. To fill Judge's spot on the roster, Thairo Estrada was called up from Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Aaron Boone said that the strain was "pretty significant" and there is no timetable for his return. Judge got hurt in Saturday's game against Kansas City while swinging.

Judge's injury further compounds a heavily loaded IL for the Yankees. In addition to Judge, Troy Tulowitzki, Ben Heller, Jordan Montgomery, Miguel Andujar, Giancarlo Stanton, Gary Sanchez, Didi Gregorius, Jacoby Ellsbury, CC Sabathia, Luis Severino, and Aaron Hicks.
