Rangers score 29 runs in 2 games as they rout Mariners again

Wow, what a weekend for the Texas Rangers. They scored 15 runs against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, and on Sunday they kept raking, winning 14-1 convincingly. Elvis Andrus, Logan Forsythe, Hunter Pence, and Shin Soo Choo homered for Texas, and Lance Lynn gave up 1 run over 7 stellar innings as Texas cruised. Coming off a 15 run, 20 hit win, they got 17 hits to split the series with the Mariners. After the game, Pence said that ''We seemed to really take advantage of any mistakes that were made today, just kept putting good swings on them and passing the baton, as they say.''

Lynn had his best start of the year, matching his season high in innings pitched and strikeouts, going 7 innings and striking out 9. He also equaled a season low in runs allowed, with 1. Lynn said that ''They gave me a big lead and I navigated my way through seven, It was a good team win.''
The Rangers, entering the weekend series with a thin bullpen, had to use 10 relievers on Thursday and Friday combined, but got 7 innings from Mike Minor on Saturday and 7 from Lynn today, giving the bullpen a rest.
