The Minnesota Twins have traded 1B Tyler Austin to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league OF Malique Ziegler. Austin was designated for assignment(DFA) by the Twins on Saturday after starting out batting .250 with 1 hit this season. Over 4 major league seasons, Austin has hit .232 with 24 homers and 67 RBI. In San Francisco, he'll add depth to a bench with Erik Kratz, Pablo Sandoval, and Yangervis Solarte. To make room for Austin, the Giants DFA'd utility player Connor Joe.
