Yankees sign 1B Morrison to minor league deal

The New York Yankees and 1B Logan Morrison have agreed to a minor league deal, according to Jeff Passan. Morrison can opt out of the deal if he is not on the major league roster by July 1, and he will earn $1 million if he makes the major league roster. Morrison had a awful year with the Minnesota Twins last season, but had a career year in 2017 with Tampa Bay. The Yankees have been hit hard with injuries this season, and Greg Bird is the most recent player to be placed on the IL.
