The Minnesota Twins can't stop hitting. The Twins hit 8 homers in a game for the second time this year as they thrashed the Los Angeles Angels by a 16-7 score earlier today. The Twins are now only the second team ever to have multiple 8 homer games in a season, the other being the 2005 Texas Rangers. April 20 against the Baltimore Orioles was the other time this year. Miguel Sano and Jonathan Schoop homered twice, while Max Kepler, CJ Cron, Eddie Rosario, and Jorge Polano also homered.

The Twins have now hit a league leading 98 homers, with 25 of them coming in their last 9 games. The Twins are the fourth team to have at least 4 six homer games. The record for most is held by the 2000 Houston Astros, with 5 six homer games. If their homer pace holds, they will hit 320 homers, which would destroy the record of 267, set just last year by the New York Yankees.
