Major League Baseball announced the finalists for the 2019 all star game earlier today, which are the top 3 vote getters at each position, to go with the top 9 outfielders. Fans will vote on the finalists to determine who will start the all star game. Voting starts on June 26 and closes on June 27 at 7:00 PM eastern time. The all star game will be held in Cleveland, and Carlos Santana is the only Indian in the mix to be a starter. The Houston Astros lead the AL with 7 nominees, and the New York Yankees have at least one player per position. The Chicago Cubs also have 7 finalists to lead the NL.

What surprises me
That Xander Bogaerts didn't make it. The guy is having an amazing year, and this snub just proves he is one of the most underrated shortstops in baseball
That Aaron Judge made it. The dude was injured for most, if not all of the first half this season. This one has me scratching my head.
That Albert Almora made it. I haven't seen him do anything special or be totally amazing. Hmmmmm
That Ketel Marte made it. Not saying he didn't deserve it, he's having a great year. I just felt people didn't notice him and that he wouldn't get the votes. Guess I was wrong.
That Tommy LaStella made it. Again, he totally deserved it, but again, I feel he didn't have enough name recognition and would go unnoticed.
