Free agent reliever Craig Kimbrel has signed with the Chicago Cubs, pending a physical, according to Ken Rosenthal. Kimbrel's deal is for 3 years and $43 million, according to Jon Heyman. There is a 4th year option with a $1 million buyout, and the $43 million is fully guaranteed. Kimbrel will get $10 million this season and will undergo his physical later today. He is expected to join the Cubs by June 20. The Cubs bullpen has the third lowest ERA this season, and Kimbrel should help that. Kimbrel's 333 saves are most among active players.
