The Milwaukee Brewers have traded 1B Jesus Aguilar to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for RHP Jake Faria. The deal was broke by Jeff Passan of ESPN. Aguilar is coming off a breakout 2018 season in which he hit .274 with 35 home runs. He has struggled this year, and has lost playing time throughout the year to Eric Thames.

Faria opened this season at Triple A Durham and has made just 7 appearances for Tampa Bay this season, all out of the bullpen. The 26 year old has allowed 3 runs on 10 hits and 7 walks while striking out 11 batters in 10 innings pitched. Last year, he had a 5.40 ERA over 65 innings across 12 starts and 5 relief appearances.
