The Washington Nationals have acquired RHP Daniel Hudson from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for minor league pitcher Kyle Johnston. Hudson has a 3.00 ERA over 48 innings and two saves for Toronto this season. He has a career 3.92 ERA across 10 seasons. He has pitched for Toronto, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chicago White Sox.

The Nationals also have traded for relievers Roenis Elias and Hunter Strickland from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for minor league pitchers Aaron Fletcher, Elvis Alvarado, and Taylor Guilbeau. The Nats have added bullpen help because their bullpen has been very leaky this season, so hopefully this overhaul would help them out. Elias has 14 saves over 44 innings pitched for Seattle. Strickland has only played 4 games this season due to injuries.
