   LAD leads series 2-1

The Los Angeles Dodgers expected Patrick Corbin. Kike Hernandez hit a two run double, Justin Turner hit a 3 run homer, and the Los Angeles Dodgers used a 7 run 6th inning to rally past the Washington Nationals 10-4 for a game 3 win. Hernandez, Chris Taylor, and David Freese all pinch hit in the 6th to help the Dodgers to victory. Freese said that ''We're just always ready, no matter who's on the mound. Righty, lefty. You've got to fake it sometimes, whether you're ready or not."

The Nationals got ahead in the first inning when Juan Soto blasted a two run homer to center field. In the 5th, Max Muncy cut the deficit with a solo shot to right field. In the 6th, Russell Martin gave the Dodgers the lead with a two run double, Hernandez hit a two run double, and Turner blasted a 3 run bomb to left field. In the bottom of the 6th, the Nats got two runs on a sac fly and wild pitch to make it 8-4. In the 9th, Martin homered to left field to make it 10-4.

Hyun-Jin Ryu got the win, going 5 innings and giving up two runs on 4 hits and two walks. Kenley Jansen worked the 9th to shut down Washington. Freese said of the comeback that "We never doubt ourselves." Freese has quite a playoff resume, being the MVP of the 2011 NLCS and world series for the St.Louis Cardinals, and the big hits Sunday night. Muncy said that ''He has to be going down as one of the greatest October players of all time, I don't care what anyone says. He has to be.''

Spot starter Anibal Sanchez went 5 innings, giving up one run on 4 hits and two walks. Corbin struggled out of the bullpen, easily getting the first two outs, but then it all fell apart. Corbin said that ''Just couldn't seem to get that third out there, just stinks. Manager Dave Martinez said of the decision to pull Sanchez that ''Anibal was at 87 pitches. He gave us all he had. We were at a good spot in the lineup, where we thought Corbin could get through it, and his stuff was good. ... But he had every hitter 0-2. He just couldn't finish.''

Game 4 is on Monday night in Washington, where the Dodgers can advance to the NLDS with a win. They start lefty Rich Hill in the hopes of advancing. The Nats start their number one guy, Max Scherzer. Based on what has happened this October, Stephen Strasburg, who could be a game 5 starting candidate, could be available out of the bullpen.
