Chris Martin is staying with the Atlanta Braves. The team announced that they have resigned Martin to a 2 year, $14 million deal. He will earn $7 million per season, and there were reportedly no incentive bonuses. He was acquired by Atlanta at the 2019 trade deadline in exchange for RHP Kolby Allard. Martin had a 4.08 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 20 appearances with the Braves. He entered game one of the NLDS against the St.Louis Cardinals, but was removed after he suffered an oblique injury while warming up. He never took the mound again after that.
