Scattered first round thoughts
The Orioles did their classic surprising first pick, taking Jackson Holliday number one overall instead of Druw Jones. Kumar Rocker is quite an interesting pick at 3rd overall. Kevin Parada falling to 11 is a bit surprising considering he was one of the best college bats available. Jace Jung’s brother is Josh, one of the Rangers best prospects, and Jace figures to be equally as good, the Tigers did good. Dylan Lesko being taken so high amidst Tommy John surgery recovery is interesting, but the Padres may have gotten a steal if he recovers and shines on the mound. If you look at Cooper Hjerpe and Chris Sale's windups next to each other, they look like a pretty similar pitcher, interpret that however you'd like.
