Rounding out the roster is always a big deal. The Los Angeles Dodgers and OF David Peralta have agreed to a one year, $6.5 million deal, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. The Dodgers have confirmed the signing.

There are $1.5 million available in bonuses that can push Peralta's deal to one year and $8 million. He adds another lefty option in the outfield, with the Dodgers also having NRI's Bradley Zimmer and Jason Heyward in camp. Trayce Thompson, Chris Taylor, and James Outman are also in the mix for platoon options.

Peralta spent the 2022 season with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Rays. He ended the season with a .251 batting average and .731 OPS, driving in 59 runs while hitting 12 home runs in 134 games, 87 with Arizona and 47 with the Rays.

While Peralta regressed defensively to the tune of -5 defensive runs saved in left field last season, he took home a gold glove in 2019 thanks to strong defense. Unfortunately, the Dodgers won't see a lot of Peralta in camp, as he'll be representing Venezuela in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Peralta has played for the D-Backs and Rays across his 9 years in the majors. He has accumulated a .281 batting average in that time, adding a .339 on base percentage and .457 slugging percentage. He has hit 110 home runs to go with 486 RBI's in 1,008 games. Peralta has 4 hits in 20 plate appearances across 5 playoff games.

Last season, Peralta got off to a strong start with the D-Backs, hitting 12 home runs over 87 games while posting a .777 OPS. After being traded to the Rays at the trade deadline, Peralta regressed to the tune of a .652 OPS and no homers in 47 games.

The Dodgers have had a quiet offseason as they try to retool their roster, only re-signing Clayton Kershaw and bringing in DH JD Martinez this offseason.
