Major League Baseball keeps going worldwide. The league announced on Wednesday that the 2024 World Tour Series will comprise of 4 locations outside of the U.S. hosting games at different points of the baseball season.

The headliner of the Tour Series will be near the end of March, when the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres square off for two games in Seoul, South Korea, which will be regular season games. It will be the first time MLB games will be played in South Korea.

Previously, MLB has opened the season with international games 8 different times. The most recent was in 2019, when the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners played two games in Tokyo, Japan, which also served as the last two games of baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki's MLB career.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement that "Major League Baseball is incredibly excited for this extensive slate of international games in 2024. Our recent efforts have produced strong enthusiasm around the globe, and we look forward to building on that foundation with returns to Mexico City and London, while also opening the season in Korea for the first time. In addition, we can’t wait to celebrate the tradition of the sport in the Dominican Republic with our visit to Santo Domingo next March. We are thrilled that our fans across four different countries outside the United States and Canada will have the opportunity to see the game’s stars."

Before the Padres and Dodgers play in South Korea, the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will play two spring training games in Santo Domingo of the Dominican Republic on March 9 and 10 at at Estadio Quisqueya.

After the MLB launched the Mexico City Series in 2023, with the Padres and San Francisco Giants facing off, they'll go back in 2024. The Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies will play in Mexico City on April 27 and 28.

The Astros previously played two regular season games against the Los Angeles Angels in Monterrey, Mexico in 2019, while the Rockies also played in Monterrey in 2019 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Astros have played exhibition games in Mexico City in both 2016 and 2004.

The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies will play in the 2024 London Series on June 8 and 9 of 2024, marking the 3rd time MLB has played in London. The Red Sox and New York Yankees played in the inaugural London Series in 2019, while the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs played in London earlier this year.
