Brewers trade Broxton to Mets

Today, the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets announced that the Brewers have traded OF Keon Broxton to the Mets in exchange for prospects Bobby Wahl, Adam Hill, and Felix Valerio. According to Milwaukee GM David Stearns, Wahl will have a chance to make the major leagues from Spring Training.
Broxton regressed in 2017, causing him to lose his job in Centerfield and prompting the team to sign Lorenzo Cain. Broxton provides speed and very high caliber defense to the Mets outfield, which the Mets lack. Broxton will likely be the 4th outfielder on the Mets roster, also providing versatility as a pinch runner, and a depth acquisition due to the injury prone Juan Lagares. Broxton played for three different levels in 2018 and hit a combined .251 with 10 home runs, 29 stolen bases, and 37 RBI.
Of the Prospects that the Mets are sending to Milwaukee, only Wahl has major league experience, appearing in 14 games in two years with the Oakland Athletics and New York Mets. In split time between Triple A and the majors last year, Wahl posted a combined 2.20 ERA with 73 strikeouts and 12 saves. Both Adam Hill and Felix Valerio have finished their first seasons in the organization. Hill averaged just over 15 strikeouts per 9 innings last year in Class A, with 15 1/3 inning pitched. Valerio hit .319 with 16 stolen bases over a span of 67 games in Rookie Ball.
