Estrada, Wilson get deals

The Oakland Athletics and RHP Marco Estrada have agreed to a 1 year, $4 million contract, according to Jeff Passan. Estrada has had some up and down seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays as a starter, but could be used also as a long reliever if needed. Estrada hasn't seen significant bullpen action since 2014. After solid 2015 and 2016 seasons, Estrada declined a little in 2017, and 2018 was the worst statistical output of his career, which included a 5.64 ERA. Over 11 seasons, Estrada averages a 4.24 ERA.

The New York Mets continue their bullpen fortification by signing LHP Justin Wilson on a 2 year, $10 million deal, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Heyman. Wilson previously spent a season and a half with the Chicago Cubs, and averaged 11.7 K/9 while also walking 6.5 batters per 9 innings. Wilson appeared in 71 games for the Cubs last year, and held opponents to a .223 batting average. Wilson joins a Mets bullpen that includes Edwin Diaz and Jeurys Familia.
