Holland heads West again

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed RHP Greg Holland to a 1 year, $3.25 million deal, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Holland can earn an additional $3.5 million in bonuses based off of games played and games finished. Holland will compete against Andrew Chafin and Archie Bradley for the closer job this spring. Holland has pitched for the Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies, St.Louis Cardinals, and most recently the Washington Nationals. Holland finished 2018 with a stingy 0.84 ERA with 3 saves in 21 1/3 innings. In between 2011 and 2015, Holland recorded 145 saves with just over 12 strikeouts per nine innings, while averaging a 2.15 ERA, appearing in two all star games and leading the Royals to a world series championship in 2015
