The Kansas City Royals have signed LHP Jake Diekman to a 1 year deal with a mutual option for 2020. Diekman will earn $2.25 million this year and will get $500,000 if the Royals don't exercise the 2020 option. The 32 year old threw 53 1/3 innings last season between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks. He posted a 4.73 ERA and struck out 27.2 percent of batters he faced.
