Romo signed by Marlins

The Miami Marlins have agreed to a 1 year, $2.5 million deal with RHP Sergio Romo a few hours ago, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com. The 35 year old is a three time world series champion, in 2010, 2012, and 2014, all with the San Francisco Giants. Romo, primarily a reliever, made 5 starts last season with the Tampa Bay Rays. In 73 appearances totaling 67 1/3 innings, Romo averaged a 4.14 ERA. Over his 11 year career, Romo has walked 5.7 percent of batters faced, and stuck out 28.2 percent of batters. He reportedly chose the Marlins over the Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays, and Texas Rangers.
