Max Fried allowed 2 hits in 6 dominant innings, the Braves hit a barrage of homers, and the Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 12-8 last night. Dansby Swanson, Josh Donaldson, and Tyler Flowers homered in the Braves' 9 run 6th inning off Brewers righty Corbin Burnes. Ronald Acuna had 3 hits, scored twice, and drove in 3 runs.

In the 3rd inning, with the Braves ahead 2-0, Freddie Freeman hit a solo homer to right field to make it 3-0. It stayed that way until the monster 6th inning.  Acuna started with an RBI single, scoring Ozzie Albies. Then, Swanson homered to center for 3 runs to make it 7-0. Donaldson homered to right on the first pitch, and then Flowers hit a 2 run homer to make it 10-0. Acuna then singled home Albies and Fried to make it 12-0 in the 6th inning, making it look like the Braves were poised for a run away victory.

Milwaukee had other plans. Orlando Arcia singled home a run in the 7th to make it 12-1. In the 8th, Braun grounded out to score Lorenzo Cain, and Jacob Nottingham hit a 2 run homer to make it 12-4. In the 9th, Braun singled home Ben Gamel and Cain to make it 12-6, and then Nottingham singled home Braun and Mike Moustakas to make it 12-8, and the score would hold there.

Chase Anderson is expected to be activated from the IL prior to his expected start tonight against Atlanta. Kevin Gausman takes the mound for Atlanta.
