New York Yankees 3B Miguel Andujar will undergo season ending surgery to repair his torn right labrum, the team announced earlier tonight. Andujar was initially on the IL with the tear from April 1 to May 3, and came back for a few games. He struggled mightily, going 6 for 47 with no extra base hits. He went back on the IL Monday with the same injury, and Aaron Boone had left the door open for surgery, which ended up being the route Andujar chose to go.

Arizona Diamondbacks RHP Zack Greinke was pitching a shutout in the 8th inning when he felt something wrong. Taking no chances, he removed himself from the game with Abdominal Tightness. Manager Torey Lovullo said Greinke would get an MRI on Friday. Greinke said that ''It's not too bad, just didn't seem like a good idea to try to push it." Greinke allowed 4 hits in 7 2/3 innings before leaving.

After Ender Inciarte was placed on the 10 day IL with a lumbar strain in his back, the Atlanta Braves have called up top prospect Austin Riley to replace Inciarte on the roster. Riley immediately endeared himself to the Atlanta fanbase by homering in his debut. Riley was the 4th best in the Braves system and 34th overall in MLB. He was batting .299 with 15 homers and 39 RBI with Triple A Gwinnett.
