Gio Gonzalez seems to like pitching in a Milwaukee Brewers uniform. Gonzalez allowed 2 hits into the 6th inning as the Brewers blanked the Cubs 7-0 this afternoon for their 7th straight win. Over his first 3 starts as a member of the Brewers this year, Gonzalez is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA.

Yasmani Grandal and Jesus Aguilar each drove in 2 runs for the Brewers, who are now tied with the Cubs for the NL Central lead. Ryan Braun put Milwaukee ahead for good with a homer with 2 outs in the fourth inning, ending Cubs starter Jose Quintana's streak of batters retired at 10. Milwaukee added 2 runs in each of the final 3 innings. Gonzalez struck out 3 over 5 2/3 innings. Zach Davies gets the ball for Milwaukee tomorrow, while Cole Hamels goes for the Cubs.
