As the ball headed for the left field bleachers, Willson Contreras tossed his bat toward the Cubs dugout and spun around. He threw his helmet off before reaching home plate and got his shirt ripped off by his teammates. Contreras' homer lifted the Chicago Cubs over the Milwaukee Brewers in 15 innings with a 2-1 win. The Cubs have won 11 of their last 13. The game ending homer was the Cubs' 3rd in 5 days, with Kris Bryant and Jason Heyward hitting the other two.

Cole Hamels gave up one run and three hits, earning his fourth straight no decision after 7 strong innings. Tyler Chatwood struck out 7 in four innings as the Cubs bullpen combined to give up only one hit after Hamels left. Zach Davies gave up a run and 6 hits in 6 2/3 innings for the Brewers. Burch Smith gave up the homer to Contreras. Righty Jhoulys Chacin gets the start for the Brewers in the series finale tomorrow, and Lefty Jon Lester gets the start for the Cubs. First pitch is at 7:08 EST.
