The Miami Marlins scored for the first time in 26 innings, and jumped on Jacob Degrom on the way to a 8-6 win over the New York Mets last night. Degrom said that ''Tonight's on me. I did a terrible job out there, I let it get out of hand." Even though Pete Alonso hit 2 homers and JD Davis homered as well, it was too much for the Mets to come back from.

Garrett Cooper's two run single in the 3rd inning brought home the Marlins' first runs since last Saturday, coincidentally against Degrom. Jorge Alfaro added a 456 foot homer, which was only the Marlins' second of the month. Brian Anderson doubled twice and scored both times for Miami. Steven Matz takes the hill for the Mets today, as Miami sends Pablo Lopez to the mound against Matz.
