Get excited Cincinnati. The Reds have called up their highly touted top prospect Nick Senzel, who is also the 5th best in the MLB pipeline. The 23 year old will make his debut tonight as the Reds host the San Francisco Giants. Senzel will bat second and play center field. Fellow outfielder Yasiel Puig said that "I'm excited to see him play, hope he has a good game." Senzel was the second overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Senzel, who many thought would break spring training with the Reds big league roster, was left off it despite a strong performance. That caused a lot of controversy, and his agent called it an "egregious case of service-time manipulation." An ankle injury later also delayed his call-up. Senzel is hitting .257 with one homer and 3 walks over 8 games with Triple A Louisville.
