Andrew Benintendi hit the game winning homer in the 12th inning as Chris Sale threw another beauty to get the Red Sox to a .500 record with a 2-1 win in 12 innings over the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox have now won 5 of their last 6 and seem to be heating up.

The Orioles seemed headed for a walkoff win in the 11th, when Trey Mancini hit a long and deep drive to center field, but then Jacie Bradley channeled his inner superman and took the homer away from Mancini to keep the game tied at 1. The mood in Baltimore quickly went from excited to stunned. Bradley said after the game that ''Just went back, tracked it, and got a good jump on it."

Ryan Brasier got the win for the Red Sox, despite Sale throwing 8 innings, giving up just 3 hits and one run. Mookie Betts hit a homer in the 3rd inning, and Benintendi hit the winner in the 12th, giving Heath Hembree his first save for the Sox. In the 7th, Sale struck out the side on 9 pitches, which is known as an immaculate inning. The Red Sox are visiting the White House today, and will send lefty Eduardo Rodriguez gets the start on Friday as the Sox welcome the Seattle Mariners to Fenway Park. Dan Straily will start for Baltimore on Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels.
