Bell leads Pirates in rout of 'Stros

   Josh Bell hit another homer, Corey Dickerson had 3 RBI, and the Pittsburgh Pirates routed the Houston Astros 14-2. The Pirates have now won 5 of 6 games. The Pirates got 6 of their runs in the 9th inning when Houston manager AJ Hinch sent 1B Tyler White to pitch. 

   In the first, Bell connected for a 2 run homer to right field to make it 2-0 early. Houston got one back in the bottom half on a George Springer solo homer. In the second, Dickerson doubled in a run and Kevin Newman singled in Dickerson to make it 4-1. In the 3rd, Dickerson singled in two more runs, and Jung Ho Kang hit a 2 run homer in the 6th to make it 8-1. In the 9th, after the Astros got another run in the 8th, Jose Osuna ripped a 3 run homer, Adam Frazier hit a sac fly, and Newman hit a 2 run bomb to make it 14-2.

   Rookie Dario Agrazal gave up just 5 hits and one run over 6 innings of work. He was called up from Triple A Indianapolis prior to the game. Manager Clint Hurdle said that he was Very steady and very poised, and on top of that, he made pitches, because he pitched out of the stretch quite a bit. ... Kept them off the plate, changed speeds, fastball to four corners, slider, changeup played, a lot of poise. Got outs when he needed them.'' Framber Valdez got the loss for Houston, giving up 8 hits and 6 runs over 3 innings of work. He was sent down to Triple A Round Rock after the game. 

   Joe Musgrove starts in Thursday's series finale for the Pirates, while Brad Peacock starts for Houston.
