The Washington Nationals are heating up. After yet another bullpen implosion that gave away a 3 run lead, Trea Turner hit a walkoff home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Nats to a 6-4 win over the Chicago White Sox. The Nats had a 4-1 lead entering the 8th inning, then gave up 3 runs on 2 homers to tie the game at 4, which set the stage for Turner in the 9th.

The scoring started in the second inning, when Kurt Suzuki hit a bloop single into center field to score Matt Adams. Later, in the fourth, Suzuki grounded into a fielder's choice, scoring Juan Soto to make it 2-0. In the 6th, Yoan Moncada got the first run by the White Sox with a homer to left field off Nats starter Anibal Sanchez. In the bottom of the 6th, Victor Robles hit a sac fly and Kurt Suzuki scored on a fielding error to make it 4-1. In the 8th, after a nice catch at the left field wall by Soto, Jose Abreu crushed a 2 run homer to left, and Wellington Castillo homered right after him to tie the game at 4. In the 9th, Turner homered to end the game.

After a 5 game winning streak, the White Sox have lost 3 of 4, while the Nats have won 4 straight. They were able to keep the game tied after Sean Doolittle worked out of a 2 runner jam. Anibal Sanchez pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out 7 and allowing 4 hits. Chicago's Dylan Covey gave up two runs over 5 innings. After a day off tomorrow, the White Sox go to Kansas City, where Ivan Nova will get the start. Tomorrow, the Nats head to San Diego, where Patrick Corbin will start for them.
