JD Martinez hit two home runs, Mookie Betts slammed a moonshot, and the Boston Red Sox routed the Los Angeles Angels 16-4. The Red Sox are desperately trying to crawl closer in the wild card race, and they currently sit 5 games back of the second spot, Behind Oakland and Tampa Bay. They tagged the Angels for 14 hits and have won 3 of 4 games.

The Angels look to take the third game of the series on Saturday by sending Andrew Heaney to the mound. Heaney will make his first start since July 16 due to left shoulder inflammation. The Red Sox go for the series win by trotting Rick Porcello to the mound, who has won 5 of his last 6 starts.
