The New York Mets have acquired OF Jake Marisnick from the Houston Astros in exchange for LHP Blake Taylor and OF Kennedy Corona. Marisnick hit .233 with 10 homers and 10 stolen bases with the Astros in 2019. He has always been an above average defender in center field, something the Mets need. Marisnick was excited, saying that "The vibe around the Mets when we were watching them last year from Houston, they looked like they were playing with some hunger and some passion, I'm excited to come in and add to that." Taylor spent time in 3 minor league levels in the Astros system. He spent most of his time at the Double A level, earning a stellar 1.85 ERA. The 19 year old Corona got as high as the low A level, hitting .301 with 5 homers and 19 stolen bases in 63 games.

The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired C Omar Narvaez from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for P Adam Hill and a compensatory draft pick. Narvaez will likely be the starting catcher in Milwaukee after Yasmani Grandal signed with the White Sox in free agency. Narvaez hit 22 homers in 132 games in 2019. Brewers GM David Stearns said that "Omar has established himself as one of the best offensive catchers in the game, we believe his bat will give us an impactful left-handed presence in our lineup." Hill posted a 3.92 ERA with 109 strikeouts in 121 2/3 innings for the Single A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
