The Miami Marlins have signed OF Corey Dickerson to a two year, $17.5 million deal, according to Craig Mish of FNTSY Sports Radio. Dickerson's deal is pending completion of a physical. Dickerson was linked to the Marlins this offseason, along with free agent OF Yasiel Puig. The Marlins outfielder's last season finished with a combined .238 average at the plate, good for second worst in baseball.

Dickerson had a solid 2019, hitting .304 with 12 homers, 28 doubles, and 59 RBI in 78 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies. He missed a solid chunk of 2019 with a fractured left foot but was good when healthy. He has been reasonably durable throughout his career, having appeared in at least 131 games in 4 of his 7 major league seasons. Dickerson has hit .286 with 115 homers and 370 RBI since debuting with the Colorado Rockies. The Marlins have had a busy offseason, bringing in Matt Kemp, Francisco Cervelli, Jonathan Villar, and Jesus Aguilar.
