The San Diego Padres have acquired OF Tommy Pham and SS Jake Cronenworth from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for OF Hunter Renfroe and SS Xavier Edwards. Pham had a great year, hitting .273 with 21 homers and 68 RBI in 145 games. Cronenworth hit .334 with 10 homers at Triple A Durham in 2019.

Renfroe will be a defensive upgrade for the Rays, as he's always been known for his glove. He had some good power numbers last year, hitting .216 with 33 homers. He's hit 85 in the last 3 seasons combined. Edwards was the number 5 overall prospect in San Diego's system. At the single A level, Edwards hit .322 on the season.
