Rays sign Tsutsugo

   The Tampa Bay Rays have signed Japanese slugger Yoshitomo Tsutsugo to a two year, $12 million deal according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. The Rays will pay $2.4 million in posting fees to Japan's Yokohama DeNA BayStars, where Tsutsugo previously played. Tsutsugo had interest from the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, and Detroit Tigers, in addition to Tampa Bay. In his last 10 seasons, Tsutsugo has hit .284 with 205 homers and 615 RBI in 978 games.
