Mike Moustakas finally got the deal he wanted. The Cincinnati Reds have signed Moustakas to a 4 year, $64 million deal, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. Moustakas will likely play second base for the Reds, with Eugenio Suarez entrenched as the starting 3rd baseman. Moustakas hit .254 with 35 homers and 87 RBI, making his 3rd all star game.

Moustakas had a rough couple free agent years, having to settle for a few one year deals. Jose Peraza was non tendered to make room for Moustakas. The big losers are the Brewers, who lost Yasmani Grandal to the Chicago White Sox, Moustakas to the Reds, and they are now listening to offers for stud closer Josh Hader.

Moustakas has some postseason history, being large parts of the Kansas City Royals' world series runs in 2014 and 2015, with the Royals winning the title in 2015. He was also a large part of the Brewers run to the NLCS in 2018, hitting .364 in the NLDS against the Rockies, including a walkoff hit in game one. He has a career .252 average with 182 homers and 561 RBI in 8 big league seasons.
