The Boston Red Sox have signed LHP Martin Perez to a one year, $6 million deal, according to
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal. There is a $6.25 million team option for the 2021 season. Perez provides depth for the back of the Boston rotation, and he's slated to be their 5th starter if they don't sign another pitcher. Perez has been durable, as he has averaged 159 innings pitched over the last 4 seasons, and made 29 starts last year with the Minnesota Twins. Perez didn't have the best results, as he had a 5.12 ERA last season.
