The Chicago White Sox have signed LHP Dallas Keuchel to a 3 year, $55.5 million deal, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. There is an option for the 2023 season. The White Sox have been busy this offseason, extending 1B Jose Abreu, and adding C Yasmani Grandal, C James McCann, OF Nomar Mazara, and RHP Gio Gonzalez. Keuchel waited until June to sign his last deal, and he sure didn't have to wait as long this time around.

Keuchel started 19 games for the Atlanta Braves last season, posting an 8-8 record with a 3.75 ERA in 112 2/3 innings pitched. He made two starts in the Braves NLDS series loss to the St.Louis Cardinals, throwing 8 innings with a 4.50 ERA. Keuchel will join a White Sox rotation that features Gonzalez, Dylan Cease, Lucas Giolito, and Reynaldo Lopez. Carlos Rodon and Michael Kopech are also starters, but they are both recovering from Tommy John surgery and will likely miss the start of 2020. Keuchel has an 84-71 career record with a 3.67 ERA. He won the American League Cy Young award in 2015, has 4 gold gloves, and is a two time all star.
